An Out of the Box Vacation

Angela Williams was born to be with people. The San Diego native is one of six children and today brings her expertise in dealing with various personalities to Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino.  She started her career at Barona as a promotional hostess eight years ago, coordinating tournaments and getting on stage to announce drawings and jackpot winners. Becoming a concierge was a natural move for her when the casino expanded and added its luxurious hotel.

“What I enjoy most about working at Barona is that I know I can contribute,” says Williams. When someone comes to her for help on their vacation planning, Williams says she loves giving options of an out of the box vacation experience. One of her most memorable guest interactions came when two single ladies from the East Coast asked her to map out their entire Southern California vacation. “From Barona to Catalina Island and back, I showed them everything little thing to do, it was so fun!”, beams Williams.

When not at Barona assisting guests, her favorite place to go in San Diego is Balboa Park. “There’s so much to do there,” she says. From relaxing and taking pictures to walking her dog, a pug named Delilah, she enjoys the gardens, museums and galleries. Williams says “it’s just so beautiful, I recommend it to anyone who comes to San Diego.”
